Step 1
Upload an STL file
Choose a binary or ASCII .stl up to 50 MB. The file stays on your device.
Free online converter
Upload an STL, convert it locally in your browser, and download a GLB. No account and no server cost. The result is geometry only — STL never stored colors.
STL to GLB in your browser
Runs in your browser. Files stay on your device. Max 50 MB.

Accepts .stl only

Step 2
The triangles are packed into a GLB with a simple default material so you can preview it in the browser.
Step 3
Use the GLB in web viewers, Blender, Unity, or Unreal. Add materials there if you need color.
STL is a print mesh. GLB is a web-ready container that can also hold materials — but this converter cannot invent lost color.
Slicers expect STL. The format is a list of triangles with optional non-standard color extensions that most tools ignore.
GLB opens in browsers and game engines. After conversion you get a single mesh with a neutral material, ready to inspect or texture later.
This direction is useful when you have a printable STL and need a GLB for preview or a web workflow.
If the STL came from a colored GLB, those materials are already gone. Conversion cannot restore PBR maps.
STL has no unit. The GLB inherits the same numbers. Scale the asset in your DCC tool if it looks wrong.
Use the GLB to STL converter. Or generate a fresh textured GLB from an image with TRELLIS 2.
Yes. It runs in your browser with no sign-in and no paid API call.
No. Parsing and export happen on your device.
No. STL does not store textures. The GLB uses a simple gray material so you can preview the mesh.
Both are accepted. Binary STL is smaller. ASCII STL is text and can be much larger for the same mesh.
50 MB. Very dense meshes may take longer because conversion happens in the tab.
Yes. Open the GLB to STL converter. You will still have geometry only.
Generate a PBR GLB from one image with TRELLIS 2 instead of converting an existing STL.
