Step 1
Upload a GLB file
Choose a .glb up to 50 MB. The file is read in your browser and is not uploaded to our servers.
Free online converter
Upload a GLB, convert it locally in your browser, and download an STL. No account and no server cost. Colors and textures are not part of STL.
GLB to STL in your browser
Runs in your browser. Files stay on your device. Max 50 MB.

Accepts .glb only

Step 2
The mesh is exported to STL on this page. Pick binary STL for a smaller file, or ASCII STL if you need a readable text file.
Step 3
Save the STL and open it in a slicer. Scale it if the print is too small or too large — STL has no unit.
Both files can describe the same triangles. They are not interchangeable once materials matter.
GLB is a packed glTF binary. It can store mesh, PBR materials, and textures. TRELLIS 2 and this site export GLB for web, game, and preview workflows.
STL is the common 3D-printing format. It stores a triangle mesh and nothing else: no units, no colors, no textures, and no scene graph.
Use this converter when you already have a GLB and need an STL for a slicer.
STL has no unit. Most slicers treat numbers as millimeters. If the model is tiny or huge, scale it in the slicer before printing.
Textures, vertex colors, and PBR maps do not survive. The STL is a single untextured mesh.
Binary STL is smaller and preferred for slicing. ASCII STL is human-readable but much larger. Use ASCII only when a tool requires it.
Yes. Conversion runs in your browser. There is no sign-in and no paid API call for this tool.
No. The GLB is read locally and the STL is generated on your device.
No. STL cannot store materials. Only triangle geometry is exported.
Choose binary STL unless you need to inspect the file as text. Binary files are smaller and work in common slicers.
STL has no unit. Assume millimeters for 3D printing and scale in your slicer if needed.
50 MB. Larger meshes can freeze the tab; use a decimated GLB if conversion is slow.
Yes. Use the STL to GLB converter. Materials will not return because STL never stored them.
Generate a textured GLB from one image with TRELLIS 2, then convert that file to STL here if you need a printable mesh.
